Gerard Carelli is a graduate of North Texas State and the Grammy nominated 1:00 Lab Band. His professional experiences are wide and diverse having played with the big bands of Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin, Mel Lewis and Charlie Persip, singers Ray Charles and Mel Torme and Latin legends Manny Oquendo and Hector Lavoe.

Described as “classy and classic” with two recordings to his credit, Gerard has done shows at the 92nd Street Y, Michael’s Pub, Firebird Café, Judy's and Danny’s. His ten-piece ensemble has twice performed for Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing and hundreds of corporate events.

Gerard was a featured guest artist with the Colorado Springs Contemporary Big Band and Connecticut's Galvanized Jazz Band. He performed with local musicians for the Hilton Head Jazz Society and at the San Francisco and Stanford Jazz Festivals.

Allen Farnham has been active in the New York City jazz scene as a pianist, composer/arranger, producer and teacher since the early 1980's. He has performed and/or recorded with Joe Lovano, Chris Potter, Eddie Henderson, Frank Wess, Tom Harrell, Arthur Blythe, Special EFX, the John Fedchock NY Big Band, and Charlie Byrd. He has also accompanied a wide range of vocalists, including Mel Torme, Ernestine Anderson, Mark Murphy, Liza Minnelli, Susannah McCorkle, Roseanna Vitro, and Helen Merrill.

Vanessa Perea

Vanessa Perea’s voice is strong in the tradition of the masters. Born in Glenridge, New Jersey to a Cuban mother and Colombian father she grew up listening to salsa tunes on her father’s record player and practically learned to dance before she could walk. Vanessa has shared the stage with musical luminaries including James Moody, Jimmy Heath, Charles McPherson, Randy Brecker, Dwayne Burno, John Lee, Claudio Roditi, and George Cables.

Born in Vancouver, Canada, Rudy Petschauer attended music school in Portland, Oregon. Organist Jack McDuff hired Rudy for his band “The Heatin’ System” in 1987. Since moving to New York, Rudy has worked with Diana Krall, David “Fathead” Newman, Joey DeFrancesco, Hank Crawford, Teddy Edwards, Renee Rosnes, Lew Tabackin, Mark Whitfield, Bob DeVos, John Hart, and Jeannie Bryson. Rudy’s big band experience includes extensive work with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.

Andy Fusco

Andy Fusco

New York City-based alto saxophonist Andy Fusco first earned notice for his 1978-1983 stint with the Buddy Rich Big Band, also touring with Gerry Mulligan and Mel Lewis. He made his headlining debut in 1996 with Big Man's Blues; Out of the Dark followed three years later.
