Gerard Carelli is a graduate of North Texas State and the Grammy nominated 1:00 Lab Band. His professional experiences are wide and diverse having played with the big bands of Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin, Mel Lewis and Charlie Persip, singers Ray Charles and Mel Torme and Latin legends Manny Oquendo and Hector Lavoe.
Described as “classy and classic” with two recordings to his credit, Gerard has done shows at the 92nd Street Y, Michael’s Pub, Firebird Café, Judy's and Danny’s. His ten-piece ensemble has twice performed for Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing and hundreds of corporate events.
Gerard was a featured guest artist with the Colorado Springs Contemporary Big Band and Connecticut's Galvanized Jazz Band. He performed with local musicians for the Hilton Head Jazz Society and at the San Francisco and Stanford Jazz Festivals.

Born in Glenridge, New Jersey to a Cuban mother and Colombian father she grew up listening to salsa tunes on her father’s record player and practically learned to dance before she could walk. Organist Jack McDuff hired Rudy for his band “The Heatin’ System” in 1987. Since moving to New York, Rudy has worked with Diana Krall, David “Fathead” Newman, Joey DeFrancesco, Hank Crawford, Teddy Edwards, Renee Rosnes, Lew Tabackin, Mark Whitfield, Bob DeVos, John Hart, and Jeannie Bryson.
