 BIOBorn and raised in Northern New Jersey, Gerard graduated from North Texas State University (1:00 Lab Band) before moving to San Francisco and ultimately going on tour with Ray Charles and his Orchestra.
Gerard moved to NYC in 1980 where he subbed on Broadway and played with the big bands of Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin, Mel Lewis and Charlie Persip. |  TRIO TO BIG BANDGerard has clearly written arrangements for duo to full big band.
An experienced band leader, Gerard is comfortable rehearsing and performing with local musicians or with his band from NY.
